The only reason that I can give my Chase mortgage experience a rating of 9 is because of Rick Jubenville. I found that he was always available, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. On the other hand, after I moved on to the loan processing stage I found the experience very taxing. The Task system seems like it would make simple the collection of data, but the short descriptions of needed items lead to many problems. When I would click done, thinking that I had provided the requested information, the Task would frequently show up again the next day with the exact same wording instead of something to clue me in as to what the underwriter found as a shortcoming. After the third or fourth time for one of these issues I called Rick who then found the problem and helped me satisfy the requirements. At one point I was so frustrated that I was about to quit the process entirely, liquidate the investments we have at JP Morgan and pay cash for the house. Specifically, Elizabeth Bastian didn't make the effort to read and understand my answers to the questions that she asked, causing me duplication of efforts and significant frustration. One question was answered almost word for word with the question asked and totally ignored. I then took her email footer at face value and contacted Kimberly Collier, her manager, for help via email, voicemail and a message left with staff. She never replied to any of them. Even at the jumbo loan level this was a relatively small loan and we invested almost double that amount with JP Morgan Chase. It shouldn't have been this difficult.

Rick my loan officer was Awesome! He took his time explaining the process he made himself always available. I have a speech problem he was patient with me I never felt rushed. I had some problems with all the new technology being used today and he would talk me through it and made it easy for me. IMO Rick is a Great Asset to JP Morgan and a Good Man. I would recommend him to anyone who I know who may be looking to purchase a home.

Ricky Jubenville was absolutely outstanding to work with. He was always easily reached, pretty much any time of the day, and he was very informative, very helpful, very calm and always made me feel like I could ask him any questions. Dave Rucco was also the same. Always on top of it!

Depending upon your credit profile, interest-only loans are available and provide for the payment of interest only for a set period of time, and payments of principal and interest thereafter for the remainder of the loan term. While making interest-only payments, principal is not reduced. At the end of this period, your monthly payment will increase.
